This is a seasonal team available to all divers with at least an Open Water Certification and 20 logged dives.

The goal of the team is to provide local divers opportunities to dive through the fall and winter season.

As you might imagine, the water is going to be cold at times, thus the Polar Bear reference!

The first step is to ensure everyone has their own solution for diving in cold water.

Many divers already have what they need. Some will use a 5-7 mil wetsuit with hooded vest; some a semi dry wetsuit; and some will choose to dive in a dry suit.

The dive shop already has 5 mil wetsuits and hooded vests in our rental program and for sale. Between Henderson and ScubaPro, we can fit virtually everyone in a wetsuit or semi dry suit if needed.

For those wanting to try a dry suit, we will provide Demo days in our pool for DUI and ScubaPro brand dry suits.

• Saturday October 31^st (Halloween) is the demo day for DUI Dry Suits. Ask questions, learn about models and features, try it on, wear it in the pool, get measured for a new suit and customize it as needed (pockets, threads, trims, knee pads, colors).  If you want to talk wetsuits, we can still discuss options with Henderson and ScubaPro on this day. Place custom orders today to have a DUI dry suit back by the December 5-6^th first dives.

• Saturday November 7th is the demo day for ScubaPro Dry Suits. Ask questions, learn about models and features, try it on, wear it in the pool, get measured for a new suit. Choose from crushed neoprene dry suits and trilaminate dry suits.   If you want to talk wetsuits, we can still discuss options with ScubaPro and if needed Henderson.

Team dive anticipated schedule – These are 8 planned events and of course we can dive anytime we want. It is not a requirement to make all of the planned events, BUT if it happens, there will be an award to anyone who makes all 8!

1. December Saturday 5^th (The Scuba Ranch) - test gear, have fun, eat brats and work on skills

2. December 12^th-13^th local travel dive (Lake Travis or Lake Ouachita)

1. January 1^st The Official Jan 1^st Polar Bear Dive at The Scuba Ranch (Scuba Adventures Pavilion)

2. January 23^rd -24^th (The Bonne Terre Mine in Bonne Terre, MO)

1. Saturday February 6^th (The Scuba Ranch – Scuba Adventures Pavilion) have fun, eat brats, work on skills

2. February 20^th-21^st (The Blue Hole in Santa Rosa, NM)

1. Saturday March 6^th (The Scuba Ranch – Scuba Adventures Pavilion) have fun, eat brats, work on skills

2. March 20^th – 21^st (The Bonne Terre Mine again if the Valhalla Missile Silo is not open)

Cost to join the team – One time expense - There is a one-time expense of $90 to cover the official ’20-’21 custom Dive Team Hoodie; food, tank and weight rental for the Scuba Ranch dates. No charge to participate in raffles, awards and giveaways. Ongoing expenses – Members will cover their own expenses for The Scuba Ranch park entry fees and TSR air fills. On travel dates, members are entitled to free tank and weight rental from Scuba Adventures if they are driving. Otherwise members are responsible for all travel and local park/dive expenses.

Local travel diving includes The Blue Hole in Santa Rosa New Mexico, The Mines in Missouri (probably twice if the missile silo doesn’t open up by March. And Either Lake Travis or Lake Ouachita.
